We we're so encouraged to see land being restored to what it originally was intended. Our only suggestion is to have an observation raised ramp with a viewing platform much like Jasper Pulaski has to view the sandhill cranes. The paths to walk up to the top of the viewing hill are not accessible for us who cannot walk very well. While we were there today, there were others who could not walk up those paths. We realize the expense and the possible disruption of the prairie, but without such a viewing platform with a walk up wheelchair ramp, so many of those who do care about the issues of restoring land, will not be able to view this beautiful expanse. A drop in lock box could accept donations to use such a viewing area. Thank you for your help in saving our lands.
Unfortunately there were no bison within viewing area when I visited which left me disappointed but it's to be expected.
Very cool place! I recommend bringing binoculars with you, in case the buffalos are further out. I've been here twice and will be going back again soon.
Not many places to see bison roaming in Indiana. Look close, it's surprising how a 1,500 Lb. Animal can hide in a seemingly open field.
The first time in a very long time I stepped out of the vehicle and could breathe in fresh air. The small was wonderful!! Wonderful prairie. The bison and cinnamons were fun to watch.
