This outdoor gun range is a very nice place. It's clean and very organized and most of all SAFE. They give you 15 min for live shooting and 5 min. to clean up a bit and change your target. The prices are decent and the employees are very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Used to be $2 to shoot all day now its $7 per hr? Ill go to other Indiana DNR sites that aren't being run by some shady Illinois company. Sad!
I would highly recommend they update their hours of operation. We were told that "the government" controls all the websites and that it wasn't their problem that the hours on the website and Google were incorrect. So we drove almost an hour just to have to be told they were closed and had to turn right back. They were not at all sympathetic about it and just basically told us it wasn't their problem. Don't think we'll be trying to come back here.
The facility itself is very nice; the staff, however, was rude, and there are too many rules. Don't think about taking any new shooters here to try and teach them, as they charge you a fee for any and every bullet that hits "anything but your target". Also think the private company operating the new range should stay in Illinois. No business on Indiana public wildlife land.
Very clean and organized. Enjoyed the afternoon and was very affordable for the 15 people our group had.
